ScanHalal AI provides conservative ingredient evidence and educational guidance. It is not a fatwa, halal certificate, substitute for a qualified scholar, or guarantee about manufacturing cross-contamination, processing aids or certification validity. Unknown, incomplete or conflicting evidence should remain MUSHBOOH or UNKNOWN. Always check the complete package and consult a qualified scholar or certification body when a decision matters.

OCR and user confirmation

OCR can miss, merge or misread text. You must compare extracted text with the complete physical label and correct mistakes. ScanHalal AI deliberately prevents an OCR-origin HALAL result until you confirm that the ingredient text is complete; that safeguard does not make OCR infallible.

Health information

Health scores, allergy notices and dietary explanations are informational only and are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Do not use the service for an emergency. Verify allergen and medical information on the manufacturer label and with a qualified clinician.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Do not attack, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, bypass limits, submit unlawful material, impersonate another person, or use ScanHalal AI to publish an unsupported religious ruling. We may restrict access needed to protect users, the service or the integrity of scholar review.

Your content

You retain rights in photos and text you submit. You grant us the limited right to process that material only to provide, secure and improve the requested service. Do not submit material you do not have permission to use.

Availability and changes

The service may change, refuse unsafe OCR, or be unavailable. Rule and source coverage is continuously reviewed. We may update these terms by posting a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate product or store notice.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted operation or perfect accuracy. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. You remain responsible for checking product labels and choosing whether to consume a product.
